About Us

The Department of Psychology at the University at Buffalo reflects a commitment to cutting-edge research and outstanding training of students in psychological science. Our productive faculty conduct research in four primary areas of psychology: Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Social-Personality Psychology. The undergraduate program combines breadth of exposure to the field with opportunities for specialization. Active engagement in psychological research is at the core of our Masters and Ph.D. programs, and opportunities are plentiful for undergraduate majors who wish to become involved in research. The Psychology Department, located in Park Hall on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus, offers a vibrant and collegial atmosphere in which to investigate questions about the mind and behavior.
